2024 Haunt
AUDITIONS

Hopkinton Center for the Arts, together with Metrowest YMCA, is producing "The Haunt: A Wedding in Deadwoodville". This interactive, theatrical Haunt experience will take place outdoors in the woods of the Hopkinton YMCA in October. Building on the success of last year's experience, this year's event includes multiple group dance numbers and plenty of opportunities to play interesting Deadwoodville citizens!

We are seeking adults and older teenagers to audition to be part of this production. Performers will be asked to read a short scene from the script and participate in some improv exercises. The characters we are looking for range from "friends of the bride and groom", to family members attending the wedding to the "towns people," such as a baker, hairdresser, saloon owner, oddity shop owner and more! All characters have a back story about how they ended up in Deadwoodville.

The Haunt has three dance numbers this year. We are looking for teen and adult dancers for both The Haunt in October as well as some promotional events. Dancers do not need to be actors or singers. Please come dressed to move and wear dance footwear.

The Haunt will take place over two weekends, October 18 - 20 and October 25 - 27.  Actors and/or dancers who are selected for this year's production can commit to one or both FULL weekends. It is not necessary to do both weekends.

Rehearsals will take place on Sundays beginning September 8, with acting rehearsals from 4pm to 7pm and dance rehearsals from 6pm to 8pm.  Not all actors will be called for each rehearsal.   A full schedule will be provided once the show is cast.
